Access to Medical Care

Transportation

Volunteers provide transportation to local medical appointments, based on volunteer availability.  On average, 80% of Enable Madison County’s clients are unable to drive due to age or poor health.  Volunteer transportation services help our clients maintain access to medical care. Enable Madison County staff members coordinate community services to provide transportation when possible. 

I don't have any family in Huntsville and Enable Madison County volunteers have been a life-saver for me in providing rides to my medical appointments.

I can't always afford the $10 TRAM ticket when I need to get to my medical appointments. I don't know what I would do without Enable Madison County providing tickets for me.
